Born in 1975, teaches Christian anthropology and ethics at the Faculty of Orthodox Theology of Ss. Cyril and Methodius – University of Veliko Tarnovo (Bulgaria). His doctoral thesis (2003) deals with ascetical anthropology of St. John the Ladder. He spent two years at Faculty of Orthodox Theology, University of Belgrade (2005-2007). In 2000 he published the book Liturgical dimensions of morality. In 2009 he published a collection of articles named Person, Communion, Otherness, and Virtue for the Sake of Truth (2010). Thereafter he has published numerous studies investigating the patristic anthropological thought in St Maximus the Confessor, St Symeon the New Theologian, St Gregory Palamas, and St Nicholas Cabasilas, as well as ones focusing on topics of the contemporary theology of person. He also teaches Orthodox Christian anthropology at the Faculty of Philosophy of Sofia University. He is Director of the Center of Systematic Theology at Veliko Tarnovo University; editor-in-chief of Theologikon international theological journal.
