The goal of the symposium is to highlight those elements and aspects of Saint Chrysostom's teaching that are relevant for our time, especially the theological, historical, pastoral, exegetical, psychological, and other questions it raises. A number of areas present themselves as interesting foci for the conference: theology, anthropology, hermeneutics, human nature, modern and ancient philosophy.

Ἐπὶ τῇ συμπληρώσει 1610 ἐτῶν ἀπὸ τῆς κοιμήσεως τοῦ ἐν ἁγίοις πατρὸς ἡμῶν Ἰωάννου Χρυσοστόμου, ἡ Ἱερὰ Ἐπισκοπὴ Ζβόρνικ καὶ Τούζλα σὺν τὴν ἔδρα τῆς Πατρολογίας τῆς Θεολογικῆς Σχολῆς τοῦ Πανεπιστημίου τοῦ Βελιγραδίου, ἐν συνεργασίᾳ μὲ ἄλλα πανεπιστήμια καὶ ἰνστιτοῦτα, διοργανώνει ἐν Bijeljina, μεταξύ 19ης καὶ 22ας Ὀκτωβρίου τὸ 2017, Διεθνὲς Συνέδριον ἀφιερωμένον εἰς τὸν Ἅγιον Ἰωάννην τὸν Χρυσόστομον.

Двадесет пет међународно признатих теолога окупиће се од 19. до 22. октобра у Епархијском центру у Бијељини како би дискутовали теолошка, историјска, културолошка и друга питања у учењу Св. Јована Златоуста која су релеватна и за наше доба.
